People often ask us about...

  • Arrival / Departure Times

On your arrival day, we will aim to have your chalet ready by 4pm and you should feel welcome to arrive at The Alpine Loft from that time onwards. On your departure day, the check-out time is 10am and the chalet must be vacated by that time. If you arrive in Les Gets before 4pm or wish to leave after 10am, we will be happy to provide space to store baggage however there will be no access to the chalet itself.

Optimal time to arrive: Between 4pm and 6pm.

Arriving during these times will ensure that your accommodation is ready and waiting for you as soon as you're in resort — especially handy if you have children to look after. While getting into Les Gets in the morning and hitting the slopes straight away sounds great in theory, in practice the logistics can get a bit overwhelming. While we're happy to store your luggage, we can't always offer you a place to get 'ski-ready'. If your flight times are such that you can't avoid an early arrival, dropping your luggage with us and head out to soak up the atmosphere and get a bite to eat would be the more advisable option.

Please also note that if you arrive after 9pm, your evening meal will be provided (with heating up instructions) - but without the presence of your Chalet Host to serve you.

Optimal time to depart: Between 9am and 10am.

Again, while the thought of getting one last ski session in on your departure day sounds good, it can become a little tricky to pull off. Firstly, if the weather plays up, it will become a challenge to find alternative entertainment — especially with little ones. Secondly, as it's after checkout time, we can't offer anywhere for you to get changed back into your comfy clothes for your flight home.

If you've booked a late flight back, and if the weather isn't nice or you just don't want to ski, we highly recommend spending the day in Geneva. Why not take a stroll along the lakefront, you'll be amazed!

    Changing Room

Good news for guests staying in The Alpine Loft. This village-centre property shares a changing-room facility with next-door chalet, The Alpine Lodge. This shared facility includes a shower and wc. Ideal if you want to ski on arrival and departure days. Wearing of a mask in mandatory in the changing room.

  • Can I book a short break?

Yes, The Alpine Loft offers short breaks and ski weekends as well as week-long stays. For further details, see The Alpine Loft's current prices and availability.

  • Childcare

There are some great childcare options in Les Gets, with all ages catered for. Childcare company policies usually dictate that we can not arrange the booking on your behalf but we are always happy to offer information and advice. You can also find out more by visiting our Les Gets childcare page. The cost of childcare is not included in your holiday package.

  • Ski Lessons

Let us arrange your ski lessons for you. As part of our concierge service, it won't cost a penny more than if you book direct - the only difference is that we do all the legwork for you. To find out more, visit our Les Gets ski and snowboarding lessons page. The cost of ski lessons is not included in your holiday package.

  • Ski Hire

As part of our concierge service, we will be happy to organise your ski hire for you. The cost of ski hire is not included in your holiday package, but hiring your equipment through us won't cost you a penny more than going direct. So put your feet up and let us take care of everything for you.

Because The Alpine Loft is in the village centre, we usually recommend hiring ski equipment from Delavay Sports ski rental shop. They're situated right by the main Chavannes ski lift, near the ski school, so the location is just as good as the gear. Delavay will store your equipment and boots for you each night, meaning you can walk the short distance from The Alpine Loft to the shop and back wearing your comfortable shoes. Great news for the skiers!

All you need to do is let us know what you need. From there, we will take care of everything and make sure that your equipment is ready for you when you arrive in Les Gets. If this is your first ski trip, just let us know and we can guide you through the whole process. You can also find out more and view prices on our ski hire page.

  • Airport Transfers

Once you have booked your flights, just let us know the details and we can arrange your airport transfers for you. The cost of the transfers is not included in your holiday package, but we will be very happy to make all the arrangements for you as part of our concierge service. You won't pay a penny more than if you go direct, so leave the legwork to us!

What a fantastic week! Having always wanted to experience a chalet ski holiday over Xmas we booked and headed off from Australia. We couldn't have been happier. Jana made it so easy to book and then helped us to effortlessly organise all the add ons.

Chris

How to make a cool birthday treat into, one of the most amazing weeks ever !!!! Fabulous clean comfortable accommodation !! Great advice in terms of where to ski/board. Sauna, hot tub and bar were really welcome additions which just added to the whole experience. Communication before the trip was also really efficient which was a great help for such a trip.

Third time in a chalet from Jana and Raph. We tried a different one this time and again we weren't disappointed. We had the chalet from Sunday-Sunday. Since we live in Switzerland, we wanted to start early in the morning on Sunday (also because of ski classes). We were more then welcome to leave the car at the chalet at 8.30 in the morning. You can really make the most of your holiday using the services and food from Chalet-lesget.com!!!!

Sabine Michiel

Raphs cuisine is of a very very high standard the description of it does not do it Justice it really is first class. Add to it his humour the cost is worth dining experience alone. Jana offers a first rate management service, leave transfers, ski lift pass, ski hire. lessons to her if you are unsure, just sit back and relax even book a massage if required.

Russ C

We stayed for a week in Feb. Our hosts were helpful and made our stay very comfortable. We had gorgeous food every night thanks to Raph and his team. Jana sorted all our ski passes and equipment out so that it was easy to get out on the slopes quickly. The chalet is lovely and very very spacious. We very much enjoyed our gin cocktails in the hot tub of an evening.

Faye E

Wow, just returned from an amazing week long stay at the Alpine Lodge. From the moment we arrived the hospitality was second to none. Perfect chalet, luxury and comfort and very well thought out. The chalet is immaculate and very tastefully equipped. Raphael's culinary skills are just mouth watering. Thank you for a wonderful week and we will most definitely be back.

Jon Martin Dale

We have just arrived home after a fantastic week in chalet Novelin, it was perfect.. Jana looked after the booking, ski hire, ski passes, transfer from the airport and all the extra questions I had. Nothing was a hassle or problem. The hot tub & sauna were a great treat after a hard day skiing.

Leanne T

This was our first time at the Alpine Lodge and it will not be our last. Raph is a great chef: the food was inspirational and beautifully presented. The living room is comfortable, bright and spacious. The staff could not do enough to make our stay perfect: the G&Ts were perfect. The Lodge is within easy walking distance to the main chair lift and yet is in a quiet part of town.

Lovely chalet, excellent food - dare I say it, too much good food!? We had a tough time keeping up with all the eating! With two beginner skiers the location suited our family perfectly, and the free shuttle bus stopped right across the road from the chalet. Jana kindly organised EVERYTHING to do with our trip, including ski passes, equipment rental, airport transfers...it was so nice not having to struggle. The equipment was even delivered to our door! I would recommend this chalet holiday package 100%.

This year was the 5th time we've stayed with Raph & Jana and the service just gets better each time. The service is first class both in arranging everything prior to our trip by Jana and the hosting at the chalet by Tania - she couldn't do enough for us and looked after us like royalty. The food is exceptional - Raph is an amazing chef.

We had a fabulous family ski/snowboarding holiday the second week of Jan 2017 at Chalet du Coin. Our youngest member was 9 and our eldest were in their 70's. This was our second visit to Les Gets and we chose to re book with 'Mountain and Tradition' run by Raph and Jana because we were so well treated the first time!

Claire Wigley

Thanks for looking after us so well and helping to make it a great ski break for a non skier ! Hot tub, sauna and bar were the icing on the cake. Would hope to be back but maybe for golf.

Jeff K

This was our 4th time staying in Les Gets with Jana and Raph. Twice in Chalet Du Coin and twice in Le Replan. Our third for skiing this January. As a very late booking we were delighted that there was room in a Chalet Du Coin and the price too was very attractive. Since our last visit the Chalet has had a new sauna, bar area and hot tub. The rooms were spotless, bright and airy. Very comfortable and warm.
